Each unique browser that visits a page on your site is provided with a unique ID via the __utma cookie. So, subsequent visits to your website via the same browser are recorded as belonging to the same visitor.

__utmb & __utmc - Determine Visitor Session

The Google Analytics tracking for ga.js uses two cookies to establish a session. If either of these two cookies are absent, further activity by the user initiates the start of a new session.

__utmz - Traffic Source

When visitors reach your site via a search engine result, a direct link, or an ad that links to your page, Google Analytics stores the type of referral information in a cookie.

__atuvc - Add This Functionality

This cookie is stored to enable the viewer to see the correct number of people who have added store items on their social site, such as Facebook or Twitter.

currency - Shop Currency

This cookie just stores the choice of currency selected for the store.

language - Shop Language

This cookie stores the language selected for the store which defaults to English.

PHPSESSID - Session ID

This cookie gives each visitor a unique ID number which it stores as a cookie. This enables the store to remember items you’ve added to your shopping basket. What this means is that if you leave the site to look elsewhere and return any item you’ve selected in the store will still be in your shopping basket. If this cookie is not stored any item in your basket will disappear if you leave the site.
